Increased capacity to deliver renewable energy from hydropower for Hidro Jepi SA

In April 2024, under the auspices of our subsidiary Minihydro Norge AS, we completed the project "Increased capacity to deliver renewable energy from hydropower for Hidro Jepi" in collaboration with HIDRO JEPI S.A in Busteni, Romania.

Short Project Description:
The main activities consist in the construction of a new Small Scale Hydro Power Plant and the required activities to increase the reservoir capacity for hydropower generation, including the following works:
a) Realization at each capture of a loading basin of the supply pipe.
b) Replacing the upper portions of the supply pipes from the Urlatoarea Mica 1 and Valea Comorilor 1 catchments.
c) Realization of the construction of the power plant that will house the hydropower groups related to the three catchments and their annexes.
d) Realization of the electrical connection installations of the hydropower groups to the national energy system.
e) Implementation of an industrial IoT site system and operated by a cloud SaaS Application.

The Project will increase the renewable energy production by 0,67 MWh/Year.

This project is supported by grants provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, within the "Energy Programme in Romania", Call 1.1 Hydropower, administered by Innovation Norway. The support was awarded through a separate agreement entered into in May 2021, and has been a decisive factor in the project being realised.
