Research collaboration with Institut za elektroprivredu d.d. in Croatia.

In February 2025, under the auspices of our subsidiary Norwegian Hydropower AS, we completed the project "HYDROpotential for bilateral cooperation" in collaboration with Institut za elektroprivredu d.d. in Zagreb.

Short Project Description:
The project focuses on fostering long-term cooperation between Institut za elektroprivredu d.d. and Norwegian Hydropower AS to assess Croatia's hydropotential for developing small hydropower plants, particularly mini and micro plants. It aims to create the standard step diagram for getting from the idea to hydro energy production in Croatia and in Norway. The project will also assess the benefits of using innovative Boundary Water Level Method for flow monitoring in preparatory stages of small hydro projects in the context of bilateral cooperation.

This project is supported by the Norway Grants 2014-2021, in the frame of the Business Development and Innovation Programme in Croatia, administered by Innovation Norway. The support was awarded through a separate agreement entered into in September 2024, and has been a decisive factor in the project being realised.
